Vet Tech Requirements

Veterinary technicians must have special certifications to work in the veterinary field. During their education, they’ll learn clinical skills they will use on the job. Diagnostic Testing

Vet techs are invaluable during the veterinary exam because they restrain the animal in a way that allows the veterinarian to do what they need to do. This keeps everyone, including the animal, safe during the visit and lets the doctor complete an exam or offer treatment.

Surgery Preparation

These fantastic vet techs are also responsible for preparing both animals and tools for surgery. They assist during the procedure and ensure the animal is safe and cared for after completion. They will also talk to pet owners about caring for pets at home to encourage the most effective post-surgical recovery.
